Truro Farm Machinery, Mitchell, Newquay, TR8 5FD • Truro Farm Machinery
Truro Farm Machinery is a family run business dedicated to serving the farming community of Cornwall for over 30 years. TFM has gone from strength to strength and undertook an expansion in 2010 to a purpose built new site just off the A30 at Mitchell. Our new state-of-the-art workshop and parts department complex is larger, better equipped and more conveniently located to serve our customers.
We are looking to take on an apprentice engineer to work as part of our workshop team. An agricultural background is not necessary; a commitment to the work is more important. The job is varied and interesting; we sell new machinery and tractors, which require pre-delivery checks; refurbish second-hand machinery taken as trade-ins; carry out routine servicing for our customers; and fix tractor and machinery breakdowns. Much of what we deal with requires computer diagnostics so some IT knowledge would be helpful although not essential.
We have supported many previous engineers through their apprenticeships and provide additional learning through full manufacturers training (Case, JCB, Grimme, McHale.
