For Club Members
Cornwall YFC supported by the Prince’s Countryside Fund is now able to provide financial support for training that will assist members in a rurally based career over the next 2 years. If you are interested there are a limited number of training vouchers available for each of these courses so please apply as soon as possible for your chance to get funding.
The fund supports training that will; improve your employability, increase or improve your skill set, improve your safety or allow you to undertake extra responsibility in your current job.
We can cover 25% of training and test costs for the following courses.
The process for application is simple. You identify which course you wish to apply for. Based on a first come first serve basis you submit the application form to us with all the correct details.
After receiving confirmation you book the course yourself, attend and once completed successfully submit a copy of your qualification along with a copy of the invoice and evaluation form to Cornwall YFC.
If all is successful you will receive a cheque covering 25% of the amount paid upfront for the agreed course.
PA Sprayer Training
PA1, PA2, PA6 Spraying Courses. Both practical & theory tests are covered.
Complete basic chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting qualifications.
Basic management, identification, protection and taking action with cattle feet care.
Using, learning and understanding everything related to welding.
Using a telehandler correctly and safely.
Fully understanding & learning the risk and dangers behind livestock transportation.
Safe and competent use of trailers behind vehicles (Cat B+E Test)
Knowing how to respond and care for injuries at work.
Food hygiene and safety laws and compliances at work and at home.

These are only a list of ideas, as stated above you can book your training with any training provider you are happy with.
Sometimes Cornwall YFC will organise a particular course for a specified time and location. On a first come first serve basis you will be able to apply for set courses.
After completion and attaining the qualification we will refund you 25% of the course cost.
