Who Are We?
Cornwall YFC was formed on 29th July 1937…80 years ago!
Since then the federation has expanded to twenty clubs throughout Cornwall, with over 680 current members.
Despite our age there is nothing old about the experiences and knowledge we offer. Travel, skills, training, sports, entertainments and qualifications are just some of the fantastic variety of opportunities members can get involved in… As well as gaining a wonderful social life!

The County Team
Aged 27 and a member of St. Mabyn YFC. Ed has a passion for all things YFC; having embraced the majority of what YFC has to offer, his favourite competitions are Stock-judging and Tug-o-War. Ed encompasses the fact that the greatest asset to our county is our members and has set a target for Cornwall Young Farmers to achieve a membership of 1000 members under the banner of Project 1000. Ed is an Auctioneer and Rural Chartered Surveyor for Lodge & Thomas. Our County Chairman's role is to represent members' views, ideas and opinions at South West Area and National Council. To lead the county in all events, competitions and fundraising. Overall responsibility of Cornwall YFC members, officers and staff.
Aged 25 from Helston & St. Keverne YFC. In his day job Matt is a letting agent for Philip Martin in Truro. Matt's particularly enjoys public speaking, where he has represented the county to success, and has been involved with supporting the training of club members. Matt's role is to support and help the county chairman and the county office staff. He will also provide advice for club officers and members and attend meetings at county, South West Area and National YFC.
County Junior Vice-Chairman
Ben is a member of Falmouth Young Farmers, and has recently stepped down from his role as South West Area Chairman, having headed-up the SWA weekend in Newquay in 2017. Ben's role is to support the county chairman, county vice-chairman and county office staff. Ben attends meetings; helps at county events; and provides advice and information for club members.
General Purposes Committee Chairman
Rachael is an active member of Helston & St. keverne YFC, and particularly enjoys the Public Speaking and Entertainments competitions. Rachael has represented the county in the public speaking on several occasions. Rachael chairs the GP committee meetings,provides valuable support to the county chairman, county staff and members.
General Purposes Committee Vice-Chairman
Heather has been a life-long member of Camelford YFC and is now their club leader. Heather is also a leader for Cornwall Guides and loves getting stuck-in. Heather has taken part in most competitions and is particularly proud that she was a part of the Cornwall Choir team in the National Final. Heather's role is to support the GP chairman, county chairman, county staff and members.
Finance Committee Chairman
Aged 28, Sam has been a key-stone member of one of the County's smallest clubs, Pelynt YFC. Sam runs a mixed farm in East Cornwall and also manages his web-based countryside supplies firm. Sam chairs the finance committee meetings, and alongside the committee; sets budgets for events. He also supports county officers and staff.
